We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team! We have a first and second shifts available.

 

First shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm 

Second shift: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-12:30am. Working 2nd shift you will receive 2nd shift differential.  

 

Position summary

Performs the assembly of product on miniature to small parts to produce a finished product.  This may include running production EMD machines, Laser Welders, and other production equipment.   Must possess the ability to learn and use different types of machines such as; laser welders, single stage presses, and robotics.  Must accurately perform and complete inspections, sorting, and packing of parts. 

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Operates production equipment to include: stamping press, heat treat oven, deburring, passivation, laser welding, EDM operator, and other equipment as needed
  • Inputs data into the job tracking software system
  • Ensures the correct program is loaded for laser and robotic equipment
  • Accurately loads parts into fixtures for laser and robotic operations and/or single stage press equipment
  • Troubleshoots the machine and investigates machine issues during production runs
  • Performs visual and measurement inspections and accurately documents the results
  • Interprets blueprints, follows control plans, and completes IPI's and PPI's
  • Follows manufacturing and quality procedures and complies to the documented requirements
  • Maintains inventory levels and production plans/rates
  • Assists in the packaging of product
  • Performs secondary operations to include: cleaning, tumbling/deburring, and passivation
  • Enters production information and logs time per part into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Participates in required company meetings as directed by the area lead
  • Works as a team member on the production floor, assisting others as needed
  • Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms
  • Understands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies and employee manual
  • Adheres to all safety policies, including wearing ear and eye protection where required

 

 

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions, SOP's and training documents, including the ability to create and document new processes
  • Ability to use hand tools such as a micrometer, pin gauge, caliper and dial indicator
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
  • Excellent shop math skills to include: fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ERP systems
  • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerencing (GD&T)
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
  • Ability to take direction from the area lead or supervisor
  • Ability to provide input to the area lead and participate in department meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Diploma in a machining related course from a technical or trade school or equivalent experience, preferred
  • Blue Print reading
