Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Operates various precision testing equipment including but not limited to CMM, Vision Systems, and Gage Stations
  • Performs inspections in support of Receiving Inspections, Floor Audits, Dock Audits, Gage R&R, and Process Capability (IQ, OQ, PQ) studies
  • Audits and trains employees in the proper use of inspection equipment and documentation
  • Interprets blueprints, follows control plans, RIR's, and IPI's
  • Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets and checklists
  • Accurately records and reports inspection results
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Enters and logs time per part into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Recommends changes to quality documentation
  • Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, and equipment in QA Lab
  • Participates in the Operational Excellence program, Change4Better/Safety program to help drive a better workplace
  • Works as a team member, assisting others as needed
  • Approaches each day through the professional competencies with behaviors
  • Follows quality procedures and complies to the documented requirements
  • Effective organizational, oral and written communication skills to facilitate an effective working relationship with customers, suppliers, and coworkers
  • Participates in required company meetings as directed by the area lead
  • Understands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies and employee manual
  • Adheres to all safety policies, including wearing ear and eye protection where required
  • Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Willing to work overtime to meet customer needs
  • Completes all other work related duties as assigned

 Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance
  • Basic to intermediate level blueprint reading
  • Basic to intermediate level understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerencing (GD&T)
  • Excellent shop math skills to include: fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow work instructions, SOP's and training documents
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ERP systems
  • Basic to intermediate problem analysis/solving
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to multiple requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to take direction from area manager
  • Ability to provide input and participate in department meetings
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train when required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Good dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in quality assurance

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • 2 year Technical College / Machine Trades / Quality Training preferred
  • ASQ certifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485
