The role of the Production Supervisor is to manage the production operations during the first shift hours. This person is responsible directing and coordinating operations to ensure objectives are achieved consistent with customer delivery and quality requirements. This person works closely with Engineering, Tooling and Operations for planning daily activities.

Work Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage production thru visual metrics.
  • Drive continuous process improvements.
  • Assure on-time delivery meets or exceeds customer expectation.
  • Follows supervisor leader standard work.
  • Lead tiered meetings.
  • Work closely with toolmakers and press technicians in troubleshooting tooling problems and determining solution.
  • Support safety initiatives and adherence to safety policies.
  • Support and encourage change4better improvements.
  • Support tool design changes as needed.
  • Facilitate cross-training initiative.
  • Perform regular staff performance reviews and force adherence to company values.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results
  • Ability to coach and develop employees, leadership experience required
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to drive to root cause issue resolution
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
  • Ability to follow through on commitments
  • Good communication skills, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP/ business systems
  • Technical College / Machine trade education preferred
  • Manufacturing experience with stamping
  • Toolmaking and machining operation
  • Ability to frequently: lift 10-50lbs, carry 10-50lbs and to stand, bend and stoop
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes potential exposure to oils, solvents, and various types of heated plastic material
